The North Kingstown Skippers held off the host Prout Crusaders volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Skippers now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coventry for a State Championship Division - South test on Monday, September 13. North Kingstown will confront a Oakers team coming off a 3-1 league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Oakers record now stands at 1-0.

The Crusaders (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Portsmouth was nudged by South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 3-0, in a league test.
