    The West Brook Bruins topped the visiting Vidor Pirates volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

    The Bruins now have a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Shore for a 6A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, September 10. West Brook will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Spring (Spring, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-17.

    With the loss, Vidor moves to 11-16 on the year. The Pirates travel to Kountze (Kountze, TX) to face the Lions in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 9. The Lions go into the contest with a record of 4-6.
