The Valdez Buccaneers held off the host Barrow Whalers volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers now have a 19-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston for a non-league match on Friday, September 9. Valdez will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Homer (Homer, AK). The Hawks record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Barrow drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Whalers travel to Valdez (Valdez, AK) to battle the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Saturday, September 10. The Buccaneers come into the match with a record of 19-12. Valdez won 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Houston (Big Lake, AK)
