The crowd at Friday's league bout between the West Islip Lions (West Islip, NY) and the host Northport Tigers (Northport, NY), saw West Islip's volleyball squad beat Northport by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, West Islip upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Lions host Hauppauge (Hauppauge, NY) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 13. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Half Hollow Hills East for a Section 11 AA-2 bout on Monday, September 12. Northport will play a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Huntington (Huntington, NY). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-1.
