The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL) and the host Schurz Bulldogs (Chicago, IL), saw Von Steuben's volleyball squad beat Schurz by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Von Steuben upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Panthers host Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

The Bulldogs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Amundsen for a bout on Saturday, September 16. Schurz will play a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Regina Dominican (Wilmette, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 3-4.
