Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons (Madisonville, KY) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Maroons confront the Bowling Green Purples (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Madisonville-North Hopkins will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record.
The Lyons now possess a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Webster County for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. Lyon County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Mayfield (Mayfield, KY). The Trojans record now stands at 3-8.
