The Mingo Central Miners soccer team (Matewan, WV), was overwhelmed 8-1 in Saturday's league outing with the host PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV)

With the win, PikeView advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, WV) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 1-6.

In their next game, the Miners battle the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) in a Coalfield AA outing, on Monday, September 11. Mingo Central will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record.
