In Saturday's non-league contest, the Montgomery County Wildcats (Montgomery City, MO) softball team overwhelmed the visiting North Shelby Raiders (Shelbyville, MO), by a margin of 16-4.

With the triumph, Montgomery County moves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, MO) to play the Bobcats in a Eastern Missouri contest on Tuesday, September 12. The Bobcats come into the contest with a record of 8-2.

In their next game, the Raiders play the Linn County Mustangs (Purdin, MO) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 14. North Shelby will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 10-9 league loss to Green City (Green City, MO).
