In Saturday's league battle, the host Auburn Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the George Wythe Maroons.
The Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Rappahannock achieved victory over Fredericksburg Christian (Fredericksburg, VA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Maroons encounter the Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 9. George Wythe will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 0-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, VA).
