In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Mary Star of the Sea Stars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Bishop Amat Lancers.

The Stars (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA). The Jesters come into the Del Rey battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Saint Joseph lost by Saugus (Saugus, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Lancers clash with the Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA) in a Del Rey battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Bishop Amat will attempt to advance on its 7-7 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 8-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to La Habra (La Habra, CA).
