The Pine Island Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Panthers now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LeRoy-Ostrander for a non-league game on Saturday, September 9. Pine Island will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league win over Kingsland (Spring Valley, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.

The Awesome Blossoms (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Alden-Conger (Alden, MN). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Alden-Conger defeated St. Clair (St. Clair, MN), 3-0, in a league game.
