The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) and the host Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA), saw Davis County's volleyball squad beat Chariton by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Davis County upgrades its record to 6-11 on the year. The Mustangs host Albia (Albia, IA) to play the Blue Demons in a South Central bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Blue Demons go into the bout with a record of 9-3.

The Chargers now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to North Mahaska for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. Chariton will play a Warhawks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over New London (New London, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 4-2.
