The Griffins (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Destrehan (Destrehan, LA). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Destrehan was nudged by Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Broncos encounter the Parkview Baptist Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 9. Sam Houston will attempt to move on its 11-2 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA).
