The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) and the host West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX), saw Little Cypress-Mauriceville's volleyball squad beat West Orange-Stark by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Little Cypress-Mauriceville upgrades its record to 16-12 on the year. The Bears travel to Vidor (Vidor, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

The Mustangs now own a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to Lumberton for a 4A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, September 12. West Orange-Stark will play a Raiders squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 17-10.
