In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Urbandale J-Hawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Marshalltown Bobcats.

The J-Hawks (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams come into the CIML - Metro battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Southeast Polk was edged by Waukee (Waukee, IA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Bobcats encounter the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 9. Marshalltown will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Hawks come into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA).
