The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) and the visiting Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR), saw South Eugene's volleyball squad beat Willamette by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, South Eugene upgrades its record to 4-5 on the year. The Axe host Sheldon (Eugene, OR) to play the Irish in a 6A Southwest bout on Monday, September 11. The Irish go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

The Wolverines now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host North Medford for a 6A Southwest bout on Monday, September 11. Willamette will play a Black Tornado squad coming off a 3-0 league win over South Medford (Medford, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 5-2.
