In Monday's league outing, the host St. John's Prep Johnnies soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Rocori Spartans.

The Johnnies (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Dutchmen go into the Class A Section 8 outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Melrose was edged by Pelican Rapids (Pelican Rapids, MN), 6-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Spartans play the Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN) in a Class A Section 8 outing, on Tuesday, September 10. Rocori will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the outing with a 3-2 record after their 7-0 league win over Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls, MN).
