The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA) and the visiting Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA), observed Riverdale's softball team get by Banneker by a tally of 8-6.

The Raiders (11-4) will now prepare for their bout against North Clayton (College Park, GA). The Eagles go into the 3A Region 5 bout with a 2-4 record. In their last bout, North Clayton tipped Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA), 15-14, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA) in a 5A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, September 10. Banneker will attempt to advance on its 1-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 16-0 league win over Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA).
