The Verdigris Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Bristow Pirates to 0 in the Cardinals non-league win on Monday.

The Cardinals now possess a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berryhill for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 10. Verdigris will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Wagoner (Wagoner, OK). The Chiefs record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Bristow moves to 12-9 on the season. The Pirates host Wagoner (Wagoner, OK) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A District 7 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 13-4. Wagoner lost 11-5 in their recent non-league battle against Coweta (Coweta, OK)
