The Citizens Christian Academy Patriots softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Echols County Wildcats to 0 in the Patriots non-league win on Monday.

The Patriots now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a GIAA Class A & AA District 6 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Citizens Christian Academy will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Robert Toombs Christian Academy (Lyons, GA). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Echols County moves to 3-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Clinch County (Homerville, GA) to confront the Panthers in a 1A D-II Region 2 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 8-6. Clinch County lost 5-2 in their recent non-league battle against Telfair County (McRae, GA)
