The Howard Huskies softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Upson-Lee Knights to 1 in the Huskies non-league win on Monday.

The Huskies now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harlem for a 3A Region 4 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Howard will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Upson-Lee moves to 3-16 on the season. The Knights travel to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA) to confront the Patriots in a 3A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 5-7. Sandy Creek won 24-19 in their recent non-league battle against New Manchester (Douglasville, GA)
