In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mecklenburg County Phoenix.

The Cavaliers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers come into the Seminole challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Heritage beat Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Phoenix meet the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Mecklenburg County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
