In Monday's league challenge, the visiting Malden Golden Tornados volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Somerville Highlanders.

The Golden Tornados (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chelsea (Chelsea, MA). The Red Devils enter the Greater Boston challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Chelsea got by Everett (Everett, MA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders meet the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons (Cambridge, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Arlington (Arlington, MA).
