With the win, Ward Melville improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Longwood (Middle Island, NY) to encounter the Lions in a Section 11 AA-1 test on Friday, September 13. The Lions go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Wildcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patchogue-Medford for a Section 11 AA-1 test on Friday, September 13. Walt Whitman will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over William Floyd (Mastic Beach, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.
