The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) and the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA), saw Pope's softball squad nip Sequoyah by a score of 8-1.

With the triumph, Pope improves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Greyhounds host Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 11. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Woodstock lost 12-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lassiter (Marietta, GA)

Next up, the Chiefs face the Milton Eagles (Milton, GA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, September 10. Sequoyah will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Etowah (Woodstock, GA).
