In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.
The Blackhawks (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Ashe County gained a win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Buckin' Elks now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Surry Central for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Elkin will confront a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 5-3.
