In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Oxford Prep Griffins soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Falls Lake Firebirds.

The Griffins (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Excelsior Classical Academy (Durham, NC). The Flying Lions go into the Triangle North 1A/2A outing with a 7-0 record. In their last outing, Excelsior Classical Academy got by Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC), 3-0, in a non-league outing.

In their next game, the Firebirds clash with the Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) in a Triangle North 1A/2A test, on Thursday, September 11. Falls Lake will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 2-2 non-league Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC).
