Village Christian Academy Knights (Fayetteville, NC) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Freedom Christian Academy Patriots (Fayetteville, NC), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against The O'Neal School (Southern Pines, NC). The Falcons go into the NCISAA Sandhills outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, The O'Neal School got by Berean Baptist Academy (Fayetteville, NC), 5-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Patriots confront the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a NCISAA Sandhills outing, on Friday, September 12. Freedom Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 8-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Christ the Cornerstone Academy (Laurinburg, NC).
