In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Heritage Christian Defenders soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks.
The Defenders (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, DeMotte Christian Winamac (Winamac, IN), 2-2, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westville for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will clash with a Blackhawks team coming off a 11-2 non-league win over River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-3.
