Georgia High School Softball - Screven County bounces Jenkins County

The Screven County Gamecocks softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Jenkins County War Eagles to 5 in the Gamecocks league win on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryan County for a 1A D-II Region 3 test on Thursday, September 11. Screven County will meet a Redskins squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 8-9.

The War Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their test against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Buccaneers go into the 1A D-II Region 3 test with a 7-14 record. In their last test, McIntosh County Academy was routed by Portal (Portal, GA), 10-1, in a league outing.
