The Taylor County Vikings overwhelmed the host Marion County Eagles softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rutland for a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 10. Taylor County will encounter a Hurricanes team coming off a 17-2 league loss to Jackson (Jackson, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Marion County drops to 10-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-5. Pataula Charter Academy lost 9-1 in their recent non-league outing against Pelham (Pelham, GA)
