Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) and the host Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), observed Bloom's volleyball team top Thornton by a count of 2-0.

The Blazing Trojan (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Red Wolves go into the non-league battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Thornton Fractional South achieved victory over Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Agricultural Science for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. Thornton will encounter a Cyclones squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Amundsen (Chicago, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 3-2.
