The Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) volleyball held off the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 3-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Buckin' Elks (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Surry Central was tipped by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Blackhawks battle the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A contest, on Thursday, September 11. West Wilkes will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 9-3 record after their 3-0 league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
