In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Florence Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Lanier Bulldogs.

The Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS). The Wolves come into the Class 5A Region 2 challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland Central beat Provine (Jackson, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) in a Class 5A Region 2 test, on Thursday, September 11. Lanier will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Gators go into the test with a 9-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS).
