The Bears (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North tipped Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX), 2-0, in a league test.

The Cardinals now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weslaco for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Harlingen will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over San Benito (San Benito, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 16-13.
