North Carolina High School Volleyball - Laney trounced by Hoggard

September 9, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28405

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Hoggard Vikings volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Laney Buccaneers.

The Vikings (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions come into the Carolina Coast 6A/7A challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, North Brunswick beat Pender (Burgaw, NC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buccaneers play the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a Carolina Coast 6A/7A challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Laney will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 5-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC).
