In Tuesday's league test, the host Nevis Tigers volleyball squad scored a 3-1 win over the Laporte Wildcats.

With the win, Nevis improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN) to face the Tigers in a Northwoods test on Thursday, September 11. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 5-3. Pine River-Backus won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Verndale (Verndale, MN)

The Wildcats now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McGregor for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Laporte will face a Mercuries squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Cook County (Grand Marais, MN). The Mercuries record now stands at 0-3.
