Texas High School Volleyball - Lone Star over Newman Smith

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) and the visiting Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), saw Lone Star's volleyball squad notch a victory over Newman Smith by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Lone Star improves its record to 12-7 on the season. The Rangers travel to Highland Park (Dallas, TX) to encounter the Scots in a 5A Region II District 12 battle on Friday, September 12. The Scots go into the battle with a record of 23-8. Highland Park won 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Creekview (Carrollton, TX)

Next, the Trojans meet the Turner Lions (Carrollton, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 contest, on Friday, September 12. Newman Smith will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to The Colony (The Colony, TX).
