Next up, the Braves battle the Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) in a Class 5A Region 3 battle, on Monday, September 15. South Jones will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Bobcats go into the battle with a 17-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS).

The Jaguars now own a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Natchez for a Class 5A Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 11. North Pike will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-10.
