The Samuell Spartans topped the host Spruce Timberwolves volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 game, on Friday, September 12. Samuell will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Dragons go into the game with a 9-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).

The Timberwolves (2-7) will now prepare for their outing against Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Pirates come into the 5A Region II District 14 outing with a 20-10 record. In their last outing, Poteet defeated West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX), 3-0, in a league outing.
