With the win, Southwest improves its record to 4-4 on the season. The Trojans host Pierce City (Pierce City, MO) to encounter the Eagles in a Southwest test on Thursday, September 11. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 5-2. Pierce City won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against New Heights Christian Academy (Joplin, MO)

Next, the Wildcats meet the Blue Eye Bulldogs (Blue Eye, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 15. Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
