Football Game Preview: Wayzata Trojans vs. Maple Grove Crimson + How To Watch

Wayzata hasn't had much luck against Maple Grove recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Crimson at 7:00 p.m.

Wayzata's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Minnetonka on Friday. They were outmatched by the Skippers and fell 28-0. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Maple Grove earned a 35-24 win over St. Michael-Albertville on Friday. Given the Crimson's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Knights are ranked 124th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wayzata's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Maple Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Wayzata came up short against Maple Grove when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 28-21. Thankfully for the Trojans, Jordan Olagbaju (who rushed for 92 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
