Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Habersham Central Raiders. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Alcovy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Habersham Central, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

Coming up, Alcovy will face off against Jasper County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Habersham Central, they will take on Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
