Basketball Game Preview: Karns City Gremlins vs. Armstrong River Hawks

The Karns City Gremlins will square off against the Armstrong River Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Karns City will be strutting in after a win while Armstrong will be coming in after a loss.

Karns City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 victory over Clarion Area on Friday. Given the Gremlins' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Armstrong lost 48-26 to Shaler Area on Friday. The River Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Karns City is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Armstrong, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-9.
