Orcutt Academy had won five straight games and Elizabeth Johnson did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The Orcutt Academy Spartans came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-52 W against the Mission College Prep Royals thanks to Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 18 boards. The matchup was her 34th in a row with at least 15 points.

Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makanani Guy, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Gwen Nelson was another key player, going 6-for-13 en route to 15 points.

Orcutt Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Mission College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Orcutt Academy will head out to take on Sierra Pacific at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sierra Pacific's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Mission College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
