Baseball Recap: Langley Saxons vs. Washington-Liberty Generals
Langley dropped their record down to 8-10 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Washington-Liberty Generals by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Generals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-5 loss back in April.
As for Washington-Liberty, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch.
For Washington-Liberty's part, the team relied heavily on Alex Frymoyer, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Frymoyer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hank Thomson, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
