Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newnan). They never let the Langston Hughes Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Newnan's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Langston Hughes, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Newnan challenge Lovejoy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newnan is facing Lovejoy at the right time seeing as Lovejoy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Langston Hughes, they will head out to challenge Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Langston Hughes has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
