Soccer Recap: Golden Valley Takes a Loss

If Golden Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Los Banos last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Valley Cougars lost 4-1 to the El Capitan Gauchos on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Ava Briceno, who's now up to nine this season.

Golden Valley now has a losing record at 7-8-1. As for El Capitan, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5-2.

As of now, neither Golden Valley nor El Capitan have any future games scheduled.
