Soccer Game Preview: Paulding County vs. South Paulding

The Paulding County Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the South Paulding Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Paulding County managed to slip by North Paulding the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Paulding County lost 4-1 to North Paulding on Tuesday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Paulding). Everything went their way against Pepperell on Tuesday as South Paulding made off with a 6-1 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

The win made it two in a row for South Paulding and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two games. As for Paulding County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Paulding County might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from South Paulding in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Paulding County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
