Karson Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Dodge County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 9-13 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Jeff Davis entered their tilt with Brantley County on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Herons 10-3. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dodge County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Jeff Davis, their victory bumped their record up to 26-4.
